A team of scientists from Switzerland, the United States, China, and Japan have discovered the oldest galaxy in the universe, which formed 13.4 billion years ago.
Scientists have named this galaxy "GNZ11". At present, this galaxy is about 32 billion light-years away from us. This galaxy has been studied in detail with the help of modern equipment of the "Keck" space telescope in the US state of Hawaii.
According to scientists, the GN-Z11 is only 4% larger and 1% larger than our Milky Way galaxy. However, the speed of star formation is 20 times faster than the national way.
In addition, the average age of stars in it is only 40 million years, which shows that the stars of this galaxy 13 billion 400 million years ago would have been ten times heavier than our Sun.
This shows that. That galaxy began to form when the first star in the universe came into being. Experts believe that it would be very difficult to discover a galaxy farther away.
